Our Design Process

For our full-service projects, we follow the same thoughtful and highly collaborative process. This framework guides each project from concept to completion while allowing every design to evolve in a way that feels uniquely tailored to you.

01 - Onboarding

Every project begins with a conversation. We'll discuss your goals, budget, lifestyle, and any inspiration you've collected along the way. Through our detailed questionnaire and initial consultation, we'll gain a deeper understanding of how your household functions, what challenges you're hoping to solve, and how you want your home to feel. We'll review your space, gather measurements as needed, discuss project timelines, and review the project budget.

02 - Concept + Spatial Planning

With a clear understanding of your goals, we'll begin developing the overall design direction for your home. Through curated inspiration imagery and preliminary space planning, we'll establish the vision for each space before moving into detailed design. This phase concludes with a presentation meeting where we review the design direction together to ensure we are aligned before moving forward.

03 - Design Development

Once the overall vision is established, we'll begin bringing the design to life. This phase includes actual furniture or construction selections, along with any floorplans, drawings, design boards, finish samples, and supporting materials. A formal design presentation allows us to review the complete design plan and make any final refinements before procurement begins.

04 - Pricing + Procurement

Studio Jo prepares comprehensive proposals for client review and approval. Once approved, we manage the ordering, tracking, and coordination of delivery for all items procured through the studio, ensuring every detail is accounted for along the way. Our goal is to make the procurement process as seamless as possible, allowing clients to focus on the excitement of seeing their home come together.

05 - Installation

Installation is where the vision becomes reality. Studio Jo coordinates white glove delivery services and oversees the installation of all items to ensure every detail is executed as intended. Your home will finally feel complete, cohesive, and ready to be lived in.

06 - Project Support + Communication

Throughout the duration of the project, Studio Jo remains actively involved with clients, builders, and trades. We maintain comprehensive project documentation, attend site visits, and communicate regularly with everyone involved to ensure each detail is thoughtfully coordinated and expertly executed. We strive to make the design process collaborative, organized, and enjoyable from beginning to end.
